press 8 prides itself on producing fine art monographs and catalogues where design, print quality and subject matter are of the highest standards.

Our first publication, John Firth-Smith, From Here To There, written by Anita Angel, Curator, Charles Darwin University Art Collection, was officially launched on 2 November 2006, Art Gallery of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia, in conjunction with the Art Gallery Society.

press 8 is pleased to announce our forthcoming second major publication of an important private collection of major Australian works. This publication will include significant Australian paintings and sculpture held in the collection. A biography along with accompanied photographs and diary notations and archival information relating to the collector is included in this publication. A limited edition of hard bound copies will be signed and numbered and launched later in 2009, coinciding with the opening of a purpose built gallery to house the collection for public viewing 2009/10.

press 8 has also initiated the publication of a number of ‘small-run’ catalogues. These have been printed for our recent gallery exhibitions, and are available through the gallery. We are also offering this ‘small-run’ catalogue service to the general public.
